Like many modern women, Petra thought she could do it all. After 15 years in advertising and IT, she became a mother at 40. What should have been pure joy came with an unexpected shadow: the gradual disappearance of who she used to be.

When her son was just two, Petra lost her mother. In those final weeks came words that would change everything: "Start looking after yourself and putting yourself first again."

Becoming a mother revealed what had been invisible before: that mothers are the driving force behind the universe, yet they're the first to sacrifice themselves, and the last to receive care. But the truth is that if you don't look after yourself, you'll be no good to anyone who depends on you.

MATER Beauty is not about lengthy routines or trend-led promises. Its magic is rooted in simplified, transformational skincare created to deliver more, so you can do less.
